Who’s side are you on? Are you the victim of your circumstances or are you the person that conquers your circumstances and comes out on top every time? It’s not hard to become the second type of person. It’s a matter of changing perspective.
What you see in your circumstances is what you’ll get in the future. Looking at life from a victim’s point of view you may well see yourself in a position that you are out of control of whatever is going on around you. You may say to yourself things like, “Why me?”, “Why can’t I get ahead?”, “I’ll be happy when…..”, “I’ll be successful when…..”, “If only I could win the lottery.” Does it sound familiar?
It does to me. I lived the first half of my life in a victim state. I was miserable, unfulfilled, disgruntled, fat, depressed, alcohol and sex-addicted, and totally out of control of my life. The good news is that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! 95% of the world’s population lives as a victim. We are programmed to do so right from birth. We are direct copies of our parents, siblings, grandparents, and authority figures such as our clergy, teachers, and community leaders. We learn by mimicking our parents. We learn their habitual thoughts. We learn that to succeed in life we need to work hard. We need to fight for what we want. That there’s only so much money to go around. That we need to excel in our studies and in our work to get ahead. When you make a mistake you tend to blame others or your circumstances instead of learning from it and using it to your advantage. WHAT UTTER FUCKING BULLSHIT!
You come to realize this when you learn to change your perspective. Instead of looking at life as being out of control and whatever is happening is not your fault to understand that your circumstances are a direct reflection of all the actions you created in the past, that’s when you can start to take control of your life by taking action and responsibility for yourself and your past actions and by making a conscious decision to change your circumstances for the better.
Napoleon Bonaparte said “Circumstances? I create them.” and “I can only see the objective. Obstacles must give way.”
So now the question is, what do you want your circumstances to reflect? Who do you want to become? What actions do you need to create in order to have what you want? What can I learn from my past mistakes? What is trying to emerge from me? What do I want to manifest in my life?
When you ask empowering questions such as this you’ll soon realize that your perspective has switched from victim to WINNER and you’ve taken the first step to getting you on the way to creating the life you’re only dreaming about now.
Mindset is EVERYTHING!
